Mi Casa Music is a multi award-winning band touted as one of the biggest acts to come out of South Africa’s music industry in this decade. Hailing from Johannesburg, some of Mi Casa’s mega hits include Jika, Get Through This with Yemi Alade and Tulale Fofofo featuring Sauti Sol. From topping musical charts to collaborating with some of the best African artistes, and scooping local and international awards - Mi Casa already has a jam-packed year. Right after making a debut on Coke Studio Africa 2017, paired with Angola’s Anselmo Ralph, they will perform in Canada, Texas, Portugal and the UK, followed by a planned 2018 worldwide tour dubbed “Legacy Tour”.

In 2011, Mi Casa released their self-titled album “Micasa Music” which catapulted them into mini-stardom with hit songs such as These Streets. Their latest album “Home Sweet Home” topped the local charts for several weeks in 2016 with 8 No. 1 singles, among them the track Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend, which went platinum.

Their single Heavenly Sent off the album “Micasa Music” won several awards at the South African Music Awards for Best Dance Album, Group of the Year and Record of the Year. The group has collaborated with top artistes including Lady Smith Black Mambazo, Eddy Kenzo and C4Pedro, and their achievements include sold out concerts in London, Rome, Portugal, Glasgow, Canada, South Africa and 23 other countries. They have also performed at Former US President Barack Obama’s inauguration and the opening of the Commonwealth Games in London (2014).

In 2011, the trio comprising Dr. Duda (producer and pianist), J’Something (vocalist and guitarist) and Mo T (trumpeter) came together to form a band. Soon after, they started gaining fans and acclaim for their funky, unique music. Mi Casa has been nominated for Best African Act and Best Group at the MTV EMAs. They are currently signed on to Soul Candi Records.
