Phyno started out as a producer in 2003, a decade of passion and hard work has seen the “Ghost Mode” rapper/producer move from ‘underground hype’ to a household name in Nigeria. Having produced for the likes of Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, 2Shotz, Bracket, Jmartins and Mr. Raw.

Phyno found his way around the industry and in 2001 he decide to move to Lagos to make his mark. One of the biggest songs he produced was ‘Life a N’agaga’ by Timaya and M.I. The eccentric producer decide to try his hands on the other side of the booth, in 2010, starting his own rap career and making Indigenous Igbo Rap cool than ever.

The Anambra native made his first break with his monster collaboration ‘Multiply’ (remix) featuring Timaya, Mr. Raw, Flavour and M.I. Phyno re-branded with his rock star look and soon after he released the rap duet ‘Ghost Mode’ featuring Olamide. Subsequent hits like ‘Man of the Year’ has placed him among the top rap acts in the country. He currently has a joint deal with Sputnet Records and Penthauze. No Guts No Glory” (N.G.N.G) is Phyno’s 18 tracks with 2 bonus tracks album released earlier this year. The album boasts of features from Olamide, Phyno, Efa, P-Square, Stormrex, Flavour, Ice Prince, M.I, Runtown, Nigga Raw and Timaya. Phyno and his fellow indigenous rapper the ‘Eni Duro’ crooner Olamide announced their proposed album, which will be titled “2 Kings”.

Born Chibuzor Nelson Azubuik, better known as Phyno is the fourth child in a family of five and hails from Anambra state. But most call him “Man of the Year”.Phyno schooled in Enugu and graduated from IMT (Institute of Management and Technology) with a degree in Public Administration.
